The General Accounting section of the UAMS Controller’s Office provides professional accounting and related consulting services to the entire UAMS operation and is responsible for the overall integrity of the UAMS accounting system and the consolidation of its accounting activity. The General Accounting section is specifically responsible for:
- Consolidating all accounting for UAMS business transactions via collaboration with all UAMS divisions
- Designing, enhancing and maintaining the UAMS general ledger system
- Accounting for all UAMS property, equipment and debt, along with debt compliance
- Developing, implementing and monitoring internal controls
- Providing consulting in the areas of accounting, financial matters and business management
