Contracting and Payor Relations involves the development and implementation of managed care contracts, including the negotiation and management of third-party payer (government and private), Center of Excellence (COE), Transplant, Health Insurance Exchange (HIE) and value-based agreements with a focus on increasing net revenue through favorable contracts.
- Contract negotiations
- Contract modeling and performance analysis, including maintaining contract management software/system
- Reimbursement methodology review / analysis, including providing support for UAMS Value Analysis reviews and business planning
- Managing and facilitating the relationships between third party payers
- Mediate between UAMS Health and third-party payors on issues related to working with the payors/plans, including reimbursement/payment, research/influence of policies, and support for resolving claims and other payer issues.
- Assembling and disseminating payor educational and policy information.
- Lead and/or participate committees/work groups to support operations and workflows, including Insurance Master Group, Denials Champions, Joint Operating Committees, and others
